Nature's disbelief
In the heart of the forest, where whispers reside,
Where the rivers flow gently, and secrets abide,
Nature once flourished, in colors so bright,
But shadows now linger, eclipsing the light.
The trees stand in silence, their branches outstretched,
Once vibrant and verdant, now weary and etched,
With scars of the ages, of storms and of strife,
They ponder the question: "What happened to life?"
The mountains, once mighty, with peaks kissed by snow,
Now tremble in sorrow, as winds start to blow,
They echo the tales of the past, long ago,
When the earth was a canvas, a beautiful show.
The rivers, once laughing, now murmur in pain,
Their waters run murky, like tears in the rain,
They question the skies, where the clouds used to dance,
"Why do we suffer? Where's our second chance?"
The flowers, once blooming in gardens of grace,
Now wilt in the shadows, their beauty displaced,
They whisper to breezes, their fragrance a plea,
"Remember our colors, let us once more be free."
The creatures of nature, both great and small,
Gather in council, for they’ve seen it all,
The birds cease their singing, the deer hold their breath,
In the face of a world that seems bent on its death.
"Is this what we wanted?" the old owl does cry,
"To conquer and plunder, to watch nature die?
We danced with the seasons, we thrived in the sun,
Now we stand on the brink, our battle unwon."
The echoes of laughter from children at play,
Once filled the green meadows, now faded away,
The joy of the wild, the thrill of the chase,
Now replaced by the silence, a desolate space.
Yet deep in the soil, where the roots intertwine,
Lies a spark of resilience, a hope that will shine,
For nature remembers the warmth of the sun,
And whispers of healing have only begun.
The rain will come falling, the sun will arise,
The earth will awaken, and open its eyes,
With patience and kindness, with love and with care,
Nature’s disbelief will transform into prayer.
So let us remember, as stewards of earth,
The beauty that flourishes, the wonder of birth,
For in every heartbeat, in each rustling leaf,
Lies the promise of nature, and the end of disbelief.
Together we’ll nurture, together we’ll mend,
The bond with our planet, a journey, a friend,
For nature’s great story is ours to unfold,
In the tapestry woven, in green, blue, and gold.
